The Great Northern Route

Drive through one of Limaru's most scenic routes passing through the Mizuno valley and Great White Cliffs.

While Limaru is renowned for its cityscape and public transportation system that covers most of the server, few hop onto four wheels to explore the roads less travelled in Limaru.

Join us on a journey through the northern region of the Limaru peninsula - a region filled with winding rivers, towering mountains, yet in the midst of this rugged terrain, a bustling city and quaint seaside towns.

The Route

  1. Start from Epping, head north-east and follow signs for Chitose/Mizuno
  2. Drive along Jalan Chitose towards Chitose
  3. Upon reaching Chitose, head north-west and follow signs for Mizuno
  4. Drive along Jalan Konno towards Ushikawa (follow signs for Mizuno)
  5. After the bridge past Maekawa Rail Park, turn left and drive along Jalan Ushikawa
  6. At the end of Jalan Ushikawa in Mizuno, turn right and cross the Gemini Bridge (an orange and purple bridge)
  7. Follow the left turn after the bridge and drive along Ester Street
  8. At the end of Ester Street (you will see the clock tower at Minseo Park), turn right onto Green Tea Alley
  9. At the end of Green Tea Alley, turn left onto Prism Street
  10. Continue all the way till you reach a roundabout after the Grus Bridge at the edge of Mizuno. Follow signs for Lilydale
  11. At the next roundabout, continue straight onto Tulip Street
  12. After the red bridge, turn right at the next intersection.
  13. Going up the road, you will enter the town of Lilydale, the destination of this route!

Maekawa Railway Park

Accessible from the south via Jalan Chitose or from the north via Jalan Konno (no through road between), Maekawa Railway Park is famous for its year-round cherry blossoms. There are several cafés and shops for you to take a break by the riverside!

Ushikawa Zipline

Located along Jalan Ushikawa between Chitose and Mizuno lies Limaru's first zipline attraction. Featuring a 30m drop, this is a must-visit for adrenaline junkies!

Great White Cliffs

On the northern edge of Lilydale sits a dramatic near-vertical chalk cliff facing the north sea. Take a stroll along the edge of the cliff and take in the breathtaking views of not just the north sea but also Lipan to the south, and on a clear day, even Downtown Limaru and the island of YJJ City!

It can get very windy and chilly on top of the cliff, so do pack a light jacket or windbreaker if you plan to visit!
